How We Rank Companies

Our scoring methodology is transparent, multi-factor, and completely independent. No company can buy a higher score — rankings are earned.

Our 5-Pillar Scoring Model

Every company on RankedVendors is evaluated across five weighted criteria. Scores are calculated on a 0–100 scale and combined into an overall score. Scores are reviewed and updated monthly as new data becomes available.

Product / Service Quality30% weight

Depth, reliability, and innovation of the core product or service offering. Evaluated through technical documentation, customer outcomes, and analyst research.

Customer Satisfaction25% weight

Verified customer reviews, NPS data, and retention signals. Only reviews from confirmed buyers are counted. Incentivized or unverified reviews are excluded.

Market Presence20% weight

Revenue scale, customer count, geographic reach, and industry recognition. Larger market presence indicates broader validation of the offering.

Support Quality15% weight

Responsiveness, technical expertise, and availability of customer support. Includes implementation support, training programs, and ongoing account management.

Value for Money10% weight

Pricing relative to comparable alternatives in the category. Premium pricing is acceptable when justified by differentiated quality.

Score Tiers

  • Elite 90–100 — Best in category
  • Premier 75–89 — Strong performer
  • Standard 60–74 — Meets expectations
  • Emerging Below 60 — Early stage or limited data

Editorial Independence

RankedVendors maintains strict separation between editorial scoring and commercial relationships. Companies may pay for enhanced visibility (sponsored placement, enhanced profiles) but these commercial arrangements have zero influence on a company's editorial score or ranking position within organic results. Our analysts do not know which companies have paid plans when conducting evaluations.

Data Sources

Scores are derived from multiple independent sources including verified customer reviews, publicly available financial and operational data, third-party analyst reports, regulatory filings, and direct company submissions. Companies may submit additional information for consideration but cannot direct or override analyst conclusions.

Score Updates

Scores are reviewed monthly. Significant changes in customer satisfaction, market events, product recalls, regulatory actions, or new verified review data can trigger score revisions between cycles. Companies are notified when their score changes by more than 5 points.
